NOVAK DJOKOVIC @ UNIQLO OXFORD STREET 18 JUN 2013
UNIQLO x Novak Djokovic 2013 Collection
Continuing their trend of working on a variety of collaborations simultaneously, UNIQLO unveiled their latest exclusive project, designed alongside Serbian tennis phenomenon Novak Djokovic. The Djokovic 2013 French Open & Wimbledon collections are performance wear lines that fuse together style, comfort and technology to create sportswear that style-conscious men will enjoy wearing.
The collection utilises UNIQLO’s signature ‘Dry Ex’ fabric technology, which offers top-notch sweat absorption and quick-drying properties. Developed together with Toray Industries Inc., the sportswear fabric is extremely light, free-flowing and breathable, perfect for a high intensity game or workout session. This technology has been incorporated within all of the pieces, ranging from tracksuits to polo shirts and shorts, together with a kids collection, offering you the perfect gift for the little athlete you may know.
The collection comes in a trio of refined, majestic colours in the form of white, royal blue and teal. You are free to mix and match the colours among the ten pieces of the collection, but with such high quality at such affordable prices, you’ll find yourself willing to buy several polos or shorts so that you always have a clean kit for that last minute arrangement.
The polo shirts come in a roomy athletic fit that is neither baggy nor constricting, and feature two white stripes down the sides together with a fun, bright red UNIQLO logo on the chest and the sleeve. The inside of the collar is lined with the Dry Ex fabric to wick away sweat and keep your shirt from clinging to your back during a particularly heated match. The sporty vibe is accentuated by the trendy zipper on the front of the polo and the piece, available in the two shades of blue, is a direct replica of Djokovic’s actual performance wear.
In a brilliant, comfort-orientated move, the shorts feature a non-constricting waistband with seams on the outside for increased comfort. The pockets are also lined with Dry Ex moisture-absorbing pile to dry off your hands when needed. Available in white and blue, they are perfect for pairing with the polo to really give you the confidence you need to play your best.
Tracksuits are available as separate jackets and sweatpants with the former being offered in the two shades of blue, whilst the latter is only available in two white designs. Made of the same high-quality sweat-wicking fabric as the rest of the pieces, the slim-fit tracksuits are perfect for warming up before your hit the court. Wristbands are also available as accessories to finish off your look in style and comfort.
The collection is available over at and the pieces retail from £20 to £30.
